Hi,
I´ve been pushing some affiliate products for the last couple of months without any real success at all.
I would like to know if it really is possible to make money from being an affiliate selling physical goods and/or clickbank products?
From what I can see all those who saying they are making tens of thousands a month are actually selling How to Make Money on the Internet products.
All I want to make is about 100 - 150 dollars a day selling affiliate products.
I would love to hear from someone who is actually doing this and doesn´t want to sell me some course telling me how to do it too. I get more than enough of that as it is thanks.

well, i guess it depends on the traffic on your site if you are having more visitors who are relevant or you can say that the banner ads on your site are of their interest so they must click it. & you can generate the commission
other-wise irrelevant traffic is of no use. search about it & do put the links of their interest.

Yes it is really possible to make money as an affiliate.All you have to first choose a network and choose a product that has demand and then promote it in everywhere in forums,blog comment,facebook,twitter,ebook,classified ad posting,article marketing etc.

I have found that the best way to do clickbank products is through SEO. If you can get a site to rank in google, yahoo, bing and you have a clickbank product recommendation on it. Your golden. As far as advertising, the only luck I have had was through Amazon. That is the only real profitable affiliate network I have been successful with through advertising.
Don't get me wrong I know there are a ton of people making money through clickbank through advertising. I guess I just don't have the salesman in me like they do.
But I would recommend Amazon, overstock.com, and other affiliate networks with actual product not digital if your just getting started.

I've been making money for 5 year with affiliate marketing. The best niche for me was the rx area.

Nigel,
I went through the same process of trying to market affiliate products, with limited success. I even quit for about 4 months, and canceled the pay per month traffic services I was using.
Then I ran across this site:

It is a free 26 video training course that explains how to get it all started. It changed everything for me.

I am not trying to promote or sell anything either....just wanted to pass along this great information. There is nothing to buy here...you can sing up for a membership later, but I wouldn't until you take advantage of the free stuff.

Nigel when I first got going back in 2003 I was the same in regards to thinking it was all bull
When i made my first $30 i knew it was possible.
Its like anything you have to approach it as a business and it does require work ( even more now days with google hammering thin affiliates sites which are just links and banners )
You have to provide consumers with value and reason to click through a link without that you would be just playing games and it wont last long. Google will nuke your site or a merchant will drop you from their program
Focus on 1 site is the key not tons of sites. Develop a strong site

On all your sites are the keywords optimized for your niche. You should use seo quake on your pages and check the keyword concentration its free to download. Also make sure you are posting comments and writing articles to the various top article submission sites like Ezine. Everyone is making money online, you must be missing something on your pages. On my website myautoblogging I have autoblogging as my keyword saturation between 3.5%-4. Check it out.

It is really simple:
1. Find a good and solid affiliate program that pays well (like monthly membership) on clickbank. It does not have to be about work at home. It can be other things. There are so many niches out there that it is amazing.
2. Make sure that you are a clickbank affiliate.
3. Register your own site. So if you are selling an affiliate program that talks about "Stop Smoking", register a domain name with stop smoking in it.
You can get one through Godaddy.com
4. After your site is registered, create a site where you can capture emails and names from people who are interested in finding a way to quit smoking.
I am not going to show you how to do that.
You will want to capture their info and they create an autoresponder series so that your link gets to them.
Advertise that site everywhere online (This is very challenging for someone who is new to internet marketing) and get 10+ subscribers per day.
Another way is to advertise the site directly on the search engines like Google and Yahoo.
Either way, this should help you.

there are many guys,make money out from affiliate program. but it doesn't mean ereryone can make a lot money from it. first you should choose a right program which is suite to your bolg or website, second you should increse the traffic to your website. good luck. hope everyone could get what they want.

It works but it needs some time and a little bit effort.
Anyone can do it, but perseverance is needed.

talfighel right and you should focus on one website only, one niche you like. You can write more & more guide articles to newbie then SEO your website rank high on SERPs, more traffic, more click, more likely to purchase

The two things that are important are patience and traffic.
You need to study the various traffic generating techniques - there's probably 15 main ways to generate traffic.
Once you understand the ways to generate traffic, pick one or two that sound interesting and ignore the rest for now.
If you have very little money to invest, don't worry about pay per click advertising.
If you spend time in social networks, learn how to leverage that to generate traffic to your website.
Then, plan on spending time every day working that method. And don't focus on day-to-day profits for at least 4 - 6 weeks.
There's lots of free resources out there to get you started, but don't get caught in the trap of reading, reading, reading and no doing, doing, doing.
