Is it profitable to direct prospective customers directly to the merchant's sales page? I don't have a website of my own yet but would like to promote a couple of Clickbank products. Thanks.

Direct linking still working and it also have few advantages like:

- Quick and easy to setup.
- No need to buy domain name

The main disadvantages are:

- You are unable to presell the customer.
- You will not receive organic traffic.
- Harder to get high quality score in Google adwords.

Check that the vendor landing page is good and you will have success.

Profitable?

How would you define that?

How much are you spending... and what is your conversion?

Is it profitable to sell shoes?

Kind a blanket statement that can not be answered outside of a specific context.

Amazon makes money selling shoes. Should you open a shoe store? Can you make money selling shoes?

Direct linking is profitable, that's a fact. of course that if you are beginner you need to learn how to do it on the right way and gain some experience before it will become profitable for you (and yes, on the beginning you can lose some money).

If you are taking shoe store for example, I'm sure that you agree that there are peoples that making good money from selling shoes. does it mean that anyone that will open shoe store will make money? the answer is no, not anyone, only the ones that will do it right (select good location, do the right marketing, bring good stuff...) will succeed.

Well there is the answer. Just direct link and make money. It's profitable. There you have your proof.

That's why everyone should just quit what they are doing and "Direct Link".

Don't worry about the why or how... because it's profitable.

Everyone using Adwords is making a killing.

Hi

I also not have a website yet, and i'm a total newbie, so I started with adwords linking straight to the merchants page. I try to be really specific in targeting audience, I include the price, etc.

I had 500 clicks to jamorama.com and no sales, so I stopped my campaign. Was it a bad decision? Till how many clicks do you test a campaign. I had quite good CTR, but no one did a purchase. Do you have any suggestions?

I set up another campaign now for another program, I have 100 clicks and no purchases.

Is this normal? What is an average click count when you make a sale with this method?

I'm using 300 clicks for pilot, if I don't have any sale on these 300 clicks - I'm closing the campaign and moving to another product.

Good product with targeted traffic should convert at least 1/100 (on 100 clicks - 1 sale).

Direct linking works. Merchants also promote their own product directly and generate sales so naturally you could get sales linking directly to the merchants page.
