Post subject: social bookmarking and social networking? Which is better?

I have updated Myspace and Facebook everyday, but there are no any traffic to our website.Is there any other reason for our website? [URL deleted - Moderator] Someone suggest that the social bookmarking will be more effient. Myspace isn't social bookmarking sites? what's the difference between social bookmarking and social networking? Which is best to bring traffic to our website? If anyone can list some sites about social bookmarking and social networking. I will appreiate.

Social Book Mark sites like delicious , where you book mark your site, if you want to get advantage of social book marking sits then try that the page you book mark is book mark by others also, this way your page appear on first page of book marking site and you got traffic. but why other book mark your site? for this you have to make social network , you book mark others site and they book mark yours.

Which is better an apple or an orange?
What matters is what you can do with the platform or method.
If you want to leverage social media you have to become someone. There have been some amazing success stories of people using MySpace and Facebook to "Become Somebody". Christine Dolce is a perfect example. She is leveraging Twitter as well and tying everything together.
iJustine is another example. These girls are also leveraging their looks.
What can you do? Well if you are not a pretty face and do not have an existing following you had better have a talent and a plan. You have to give people what they want.
And you can bookmark until you are blue in the face, but if your content sucks no one will vote it up and you're posts will fall into archives that never get crawled.
My personal use of Social Media is to BRAND. The more people see your Brand the better!

Well it depends on your niche but I think Social Bookmarking is much easier because you don't need "followers" like at Social Networks but you get less traffic.

Well in my opinion both are best. Both are useful techniques to increase your traffic. It depends on the strategy you are adopting and what is your product. It can do wonders for your business if use properly. Social Bookmarking sites give backlinks and Traffic. Social networking gives tremendous traffic to your site.

In my opinion, social bookmarking and social networking can be use to get index and backlinks because the traffic from the social bookmarking is not ensure thing to be consider about.but it helps in backlinks!!

I think for link building bookmarking sites are better and networking sites can be used for traffic ans for connection with your friends...

Hi,
In my opinion both are good.
If you want to get instant backlink Social Bookmarking is best or if you want to get instant traffic Social Media Marketing is the best. Both are same but these two ways work for generate effective traffic and ranking.

Social bookmarking and social networking bot are different because socila booknmarking is used to get back links and traffic for the website. There are many social bookmarking websites which ash no follow and do follow attributes and if we got the link from do follow then it help to gain ranking and PR for the websites.
Social media Marketing and Social media optimization is different from the SEO, people use this to generate the traffic for the website and all networking website has no follow attribute which can't help to gain PR and ranking for some keywords but this is maily used to generate traffic for the website.
