Post subject: cloaking/redirect software
|
|
|
Hello,
I recently found out it's best to use a cloaking/redirect software for my affiliate ads. The one I bought is very buggy and I plan to ask for a refund. And Affiliate Link Cloaker is not available now.
Can anyone recommend a good software that will cloak and update links?
Thanks |

Just what do you expect a link cloaker to do? I have a couple free ones I use but I don't know how to get them to you since I can't place a Url in the forum. I also use a script which is about as good as cloaker sofeware. I guess I can add the script here.
After adding your link in the script just copy and paste it to notepad and save as either php or html then upload it to your site.
Php script.
Make A Redirect Link
<?php
header("Location: http://www.Affiliate link here");
?>
Html redirect script;
<html><head>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=http://Replace this with any URL">
</head>

Perry Wolf's has worked fine for me.
This is my review of the product and yes I own it and use it. I have been for a couple of years. I make my living full time as an Affiliate Marketer and have been doing so for about 10 years now. I've tried a lot of products and methods. .htaccess is a great free way but it's too time consuming for the number of sites I manage.

Quote marks to remove link to comply with Forum Rules. I use this on my Non WordPress sites.
Use Affiliate Ninja for WordPress. Also reviewed.

It's an excellent tool that adds a host of additional tracking features to tell you what is clicked on and the source of the clicks. It also allows you to assign an Affiliate Link to a keyword automatically. So every keyword in your blog can be attached to that program. If the program changes you change it in one place... and every link on your site is automatically updated. You can change the font color, the text attributes, and assign the number of links per page or by category. It's really an awesome plug in.
I often choose NOT to cloak links or use the tools built in by the Vendor like CJ because I want to ensure that my cookies are not stripped out by security software or the browser itself.
A bad link cloaker will actually prevent your cooking from being tracked.
And while others use them, and others that are making a lot of money... I don't use 3rd party link shorteners because I don't want to have to go back and fix my links later and I do not put trust in the redirects of hosts which I can not control. _________________
