I have heard that google only considers dofollow backlink for ranking. But my question is what is the use of nofollow backlinks ??? Is it only for bringing more trafic or google also considers nofollow backlink for ranking ???

Nofollow backlinks could bring referring traffic (people who directly click the link).

I think now google has started to consider nofollow backlinks to rank your website. But if you want to improve PR of your website then dofollow backlink can only help you.

There are also counted but that process of counting is different than do follow so its better to consider it rather than no follow backlinks.

| both links will rank your site. Google sees no follow links as well, do follow will pass on higher rank onto your site. |

I can't totally agree. I believe that Google is having troubles separating the do follow from don't follow, and many researches prove that 
Basically, don't follow links ARE meant "just" to bring in traffic, but isn't that what your main goal is?

Well Dofollow backlinks are good for promotion point of view. They are counted in backlinks and they get more importance in ranking as well as in SERPs. But do consider no do-follow for the increase of traffic.

Every forum when designed some basic points are always kept on mind The 'rel=nofollow' element of a hyperlink is used by Google as way for the website owner to prevent PR from flowing to the target page. Google intended it to be a way to prove "I am not selling my PR through this link because the recipient will receive no PR."

This is absolutely right that Google only focus on the dfollow link to rank a website and there is no use of no follow links just they increase your website back link number and able to generate traffic for your website.

No follow links are not considered in the ranking of search engines but they are intended to reduce the effectiveness of some search engine spam and thereby improving the quality of the results of search engines and to prevent the emergence of spam idexing.

Here's the info on the rel=nofollow attribute from w3schools:
"nofollow" is used by Google, to specify that the Google search spider should not follow that link (mostly used for paid links)
Since the goal is traffic, a link that contains the "rel=nofollow" attribute still has value in that people can click on it and go to your site. Google's spider just won't follow the link when crawling the page the link is on.

Hello,
Other search engines do consider the no-follow links also these are helpful in bringing traffic and some how Google also consider them but the percentage of consideration of Google is almost negligible.

I think nofollow and dofollow are also important for Google ranking and PR. You should do both of these links well to make Google rank your site faster. Dofollow and nofollow have the same role.

Well as I do my link building strategies for a year wherein I use also no follow links just to make sure that my approach looks natural. I can say that it can have an effect in the rankings. Too much do follow links is not good.
