Post subject: Flat Trend For High CPC?
|
|
|
Hi,
I did some research on a certain keyword and it turned out that the average cpc is $17. which is not too bad. Its competition is 12,700, search volume 266 and adword traffic is 1. My keyword tool also shows a trend that is almost a flatline. My question is, how can a keyword with a big average cpc ($17) get a flat trend? I thought high cpc is the result of large demand for that keyword.
Is this a good product for affiliate marketing or adsense?
Thanks,

So much misinformation.
The payout you get from Adsense is only partly related to the CPC Average.
You might find what you believe to be a keyword paying $17 dollars. But when the ad is served from your site you get 10 cents.
That's the magic of Adsense. Don't focus so much on keywords. Pick industries that have advertisers willing to spend. Then FOCUS on creating HUGE value for the Advertisers.
Google has this pretty well figured out.
And I can tell you that $10 Per click payouts are possible... but not very frequent. Because you have to really deliver value to the Advertiser to get them to keep spending at that rate. _________________

IMQ,

Are you saying that if i look for keyword that has got $17 adsense value, its possible that I get peanuts from my adsense ads? Why is that? |

Absolutely. Google does not release the information they use to determine payout. I can tell you that from time to time I do get clicks in the $5 plus range, even had one in the past month go over $10. This is very much NOT the norm.
If Google paid a set amount per click then you could just cash in by targeting niches and ad blocks. Those days ended about 6 years ago.
Think about it. What value is being created for an advertiser if every person were targeting Tampa Bay DUI attorney? None. The value goes to the person who delivers the real legitimate lead that earns the advertisers money.
This is why uneducated misinformed people are still throwing up useless Mesothelioma sites.
Google rewards VALUE to their advertisers.
Target Industry Niches where the advertiser is willing to pay to acquire a customer. This is where you can use CPA Leads to define niches.
Insurance is full of great niches. The cost to acquire customers is high, but so is the return to the advertiser for each customer acquired.
You know Google values your site by the type of Advertisements that are displayed and the value they assign to each of your pages. _________________
