I kind of skimmed through this section and saw a lot of good advice.
I also saw things like Shared Hosting vs Reseller and free stuff too.
In my own opinion I tend to lean more on the side of the reseller option for the obvious in that you can host many domains at a fixed cost, but what a lot of people don't know is that depending on who you purchase hosting through, you also have the ability to change the IP address. You see just having the ability to host many URL's isn't all it's cracked up to be. Many Search Engines can see the IP address, and if you have a ton of websites with the same IP address they will not rank you as good. The ability to change IP address will allow you to host as many sites as you wish while getting good SEO as well.
Also consider any limits that may be placed on your hosting, and what other tools you may need to run your business.
In my opinion good hosting comes with a company that suits YOUR needs, and not what they think you should need. Shop and compare, that's what I did. I found a company that provides everything I need all under one roof so that I don' have to have so many user-names and passwords and I can control everything from one account.
Look for what you want and need, and then buy based on what you want to do. Keep in mind growth.

Reliability is the most important factor imo. There is nothing worse than discovering you have a site down for some unexplained reason. Plus, it always seems to happen going into the weekend.

Absolutely correct, I left that part out. That is actually the most important because if your server is down, so are your sales  ).

The problem is that Reliability is not just the 99.9% uptime, they all boost with.
When they take down invidual blogs for "using too much RAM", or whatever excuse they tell you, these are not included in the statistics, and it's only something you find out about after you moved your domains to the new webhost.
In our case, they only started doing that after a year. I guess it was after their policy of giving away hosting for free for WordPress blogs.

My Hosting company is Internet Marketing focused, I don't have issues like that )

Nice discussion going on here, my experience was bad with shared hosting server, then i switched to dictated server.. now there is no problem...

I was wondering about this myself. I thought the OP intended to seek advice, based on the subject. The actual post was the exact opposite.

These were really nice information given by you, I really like all these information, well according to my point of view, I think that choosing the perfect web hosting provider to suit your requirements can prove to be quite difficult especially if you have never done it before.

Web hosting can be a wonderful experience or it can be nightmarish. Experiment with all the companies you find before joining. A small amount of time can save you a considerable amount of time, money and energy on the whole line.

I have to say the most important is reliability.
Because if it's not reliable then..what does it matter if it's cheap or how many services they say they can provide.

Each hosting platform have questions. The servers do not get on and software sometimes goes wrong. The true measure of a hosting platform should not be on the lowest price for unlimited bandwidth and space, it must be firm on how hosting is and how quick and helpful.
