Post subject: I've Done Marketing but Never to Marketers
|
|
|
I have done Ezine Articles marketing and made Youtube videos in the past. Having success with them for creating back-links and generating traffic I figured I would do the same and write about my call tracking affiliate program. Only problem is, I do not think I am sending affiliates that are interested the right message when they reach my affiliate page.
I guess the main question I have is, what do affiliates want to see when they research an affiliate program?
I know the program can work for affiliates in the telecom industry or anyone that has business traffic but I do not know if I am finding the right affiliates through my techniques.
Any suggestions on where I should be posting my articles or anything that could get me seen by the right people for my program?
Any help or criticism is welcome. _________________ Call Tracking Sofware for marketing & advertising.

You should really back up and figure out what "Marketing" really is... "I've done marketing"... is like saying "I have a camera, so I'm a photographer".
The very questions you are asking is what Marketing Professionals figure out.
Marketing is about defining markets, figuring out what they need/want, then developing a plan to address those needs/wants and get your offer in front of them. After that point it turns into a sales process. _________________

Just ask yourself who you think would be interested in the articles. Also, are the articles generally focused on a similar topic or a range of topics? Would there be different audiences you would have to target for each one and who would they be.
Once you figure out those questions, you'll be able to find your niche and know what other sites you think they usually visit so you can post your articles there as well. |

Thanks for the replies.
I am not a marketing professional so I am still trying to get the hang of this. I have an opportunity to market to affiliates which I viewed as harder than marketing to consumers. Guess all the same rules apply.
The real lesson here is that affiliates do not care about novice marketers running affiliate programs I think.
Lately I have been contacting people who are unfamiliar with affiliate programs and having some luck. A website designer/SEO company said they are interested. Maybe the articles are just not written well enough or my affiliate page does not keep their interest. _________________ Call Tracking Sofware for marketing & advertising.
