Hi
I know this is not an affiliate question but .....
In the last couple of days I have been getting several returned e-mails with an undeliverable massage attached. The problem is I never sent these e-mails. I just got one back from the Miller Brewing co saying that my e-mail was spam. Has somoeone hijacked my e-mail addres to send out spam?
If there is somewhere else I should post this or another appropriate forum let me know. I don't want to clutter up your boards with unwanted posts.
Thank You |

Sounds like one of the many variations of the MyDoom virus.
MyDoom spams people out of your contacts list. But, it goes one step further. It also spoofs the from and return addresses.
So if someone had your email in their contact list, then got hit by MyDoom, then emails could be sent out to other people from you. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

You should definitely scan your computer for viruses as it could be from your own list as well.
Whatever you do don't click on those attachments. If you already have, your infected ...

The number is the biggest worry for me.
If it was just a few, I would say it may well be that people are just faking their from address (as yours) and you are being sent the bounces and complaints.
Either way, why not ask an expert?
Take a look at Paul Myers' blog...

If you're really lucky, he might be lurking at this very moment.
Hope this helps,
