http://www.programmers-corner.com/index.php

It is not really geared for affiliate marketing. More of a gathering place for folks who are interested in programming.

I think we will be adding some monetizing ideas soon (next 3 months or so). But not sure what yet...

So I would like your opinions on how to improve the site, and ideas on monetizing. I run the site with 3 friends.

Hi Eric,
I like your programming site. How did you kick off your forum to get all those posts?

I'm a programmer, too. When I went to your home page, I didn't see anything that caught my eye for what I do. - .Net, VB, C, ASP. I almost clicked off. The bold type are links I didn't click on, because the underscore is turned off and the words are general.
"articles, tutorials, source code samples, and discussion forums. "

I clicked on ARTICLES and then felt like I was at home on a programming site.

You might find it helpful to shorten the Welcome information and rework that cell with programming words. A site search would be great, too, especially if it can reach into your forum.

Mike

The forums are handled by ezBoard atm. Not sure if we can link a search into both from the same engine. I will have to look into that.

The info about the home page is what I am looking for. I'll bring it up in the private forums and we can discuss it.

The forums were around for about 2 months longer than the site. The site went through a MAJOR revamp about 2 months ago. And that was when we started the newsletter.

Thanx for your input. I hope to boost traffic and subscribers. We are running about 220 uniques a day right now.
