Atleast one way, early social networks are like a high school party Ė when parents get home the fun stops and everybody leaves. But as social elements become the driving force behind many of the webís most popular sites, an increasing number of consumers young and old are finding casual online conversation crucial in maintaining and expanding business relationships. The argument over whether Facebook should be used for business will rumble on with strong views on both sides. Itís irrelevant really, because itís going to be used for business anyway. Itís also good to see that LinkedIn is finally sharpening up its act Ė because until very recently many people didnít feel that it was a social network at all.

So my question is very simple Facebook Vs LinkedIn. Which one is the best right now?

Well it depends on the business and your branding strategy. Both have different concept so they are not really comparable. Linkedin is much more conservative and professional, where as facebook draws a much wider, diverse crowd. Although we all know that if we compare traffic and activities, facebook wins hands down on it.

Which one is the best.

Which brand of razor is the best.
Which color of shoes is the best.
Which day of the week is the best.

This question is completely moot and offers no value in any way shape or form.

Gee I wonder if I should use a nail or a screw. Which one is best?

Facebook has a much wider range of services than LinkedIn ó mainly because of the large number of third-party applications that people can install and use ó and so it is a more flexible medium of communication. It may also be an advantage to companies to use a service that employees are probably already familiar with.

Facebook and LinkedIn are both good channels for small business owners to connect with others and grow their network.I use Facebook for connecting with friends, and LinkedIn for networking with business colleagues. There is sometimes overlap, but the separation tends to hold Facebook for personal use,LinkedIn for professional use.

LinkedIn is more of a professional network.I have a few links in there but to my personal websites or blogs.I don't really think people take to kindly to affiliate offers bombing around there.Facebook can't be overlooked because of it's sheer numbers, but for the most part boppers and amateurs are making it pretty much a zoo not unlike myspace.

The most outstanding benefit of LinkedIn is, it allows to create a company profile. And giving the added bonus of being able to distinctly market your products and services and allows users to individually recommend and share them with their connections.

Facebook pulls more then half traffic worldwide and has a good future. In comparison with Linkedin it is also an wonderful community where professional meet. If we talk about the traffic than facebooks is best.

I think these two are different from each other. It depends on your purpose. I use facebook just to link or to socialize with my friends while LinkedIn is for any business related work i have.

LinkedIn has remained remarkably stable for its services. He made some concessions to the Web 2.0 expectations with the addition of jobs and areas where you can find recommendations for service providers or answers to questions. It also offers additional services that allow users to access more information and the ability to contact the second or third degree connections.

LinkedIn and Facebook operate in totally different markets. Linked in is a brilliant multi-functional busines contact directory. Saves you holding all your business contact data elsewhere. Facebook is the social website lord & Twitter is good for business & other similar needs.

LinkedIn is sort of like the local chamber of commerce, however I like to think of it more like a conference too. Everyone on LinkedIn is on it for a professional reason, whether theyíre looking for a job, trying to establish themselves as an expert in LinkedIn Answers, or build a bigger network.

Facebook is indeed like your living room. You donít invite everyone from the bar to your living room, however you might have hung out with a couple of your new bar friends at a more sobering place and have become comfortable with inviting them to your living room.
