When you are new to a Forum you should take a bit of time to look around and read. This is how you get a feel for the community.
When you make posts like this to plug your signature file you come across as amateurish and not credible.
These kinds of posts are insulting to the intelligence of the community at large.
It's like telling a person "You can make money by making a website and putting up Ads".
So what? 99% of the people here already are very aware of the most basic promotion methods.
Add some value to the equation.
Tell people your experience with these methods. Tell us a "trick" on how to leverage a particular kind of Directory.
Maybe you have success with Article Submissions and want to offer advice on what has worked for you.
Maybe you know of ....
Add value.

Absolutely yes, they are effective method to increase web site traffic, and I always use social bookmarking and article submission to create backlinks.

The techniques you have mentioned here are all basic and old. You should try something new to promote your blog. Social media is becoming more and more popular these day. Squidoo lens you can try to promote your site or blog.

I agree with you, forum posting seems to be the quickest way to earn related quality backlinks to your site but the problem is that many forums are becoming noFollow.
