Post subject: Scope of having SBI Car related site from India
|
|
|
Hi All,
My friend is planning to buy a SBI site; his niche would be Car/test drive reviews related, he is very much crazy about cars, he writes for local news papers, having TV show etc...
It was my idea to have a SBI site for him and then he could make some good money from it. Now my concern is that,we are from India, his reviews are most related to cars available in India (most of them are imported cars) and middle east, so how would be the scope for getting US, UK, AUS visitors and how we can make them more involved in our site since he doesn't have much idea about US, UK cars.
Kindly let me know your valuable thoughts on this.
Regards
Shaon |

Great that your friend has a 'passion,' that is always a good starting point for building any business, whether with SBI-2 or not.
With SBI-2 you get BrainstormIt-3, using this you will be able to discover if your intended niche is right (for you and your friend) or not.
You may discover that it would be better for you to target the Indian car market, or aim your site (and monetizing) at the US market, or discover a niche within your niche.
Spending time with BrainstormIt-3 to get your site concept just right will pay you handsomely.
In answer to your question about getting US/UK/AU visitors, I'd say that it depends to a degree on how you choose your keywords and how you write the content for your site.
I'm in the UK but I target the US. Approx 75% of my visitors are from the USA. _________________ Why Do Most Affiliates Make Less Than $500 Per Month?

Hi Larry,
Thank you for the quick response. Our main intention is to make money through SBI site, as of now in India, majority of people wont purchase anything through online (I am talking about affiliate revenue and not adsense). So, there will be very less revenue if our visitors are only from India. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I am researching on SBI for long time now, hope Brainstorming tool and new content 2.0 will help us to have more visitors get involved in our site. I was reading Allan's article that visitors can even post their videos with content 2.0. Yes, we will have lots of videos since its about test drives and reviews. |

I'm in no position to correct you You will know far more about all things Indian than I would.
But I will just say that if folks are not buying online in India, then Adsence revenue is not likely to be much - as they will not be buying from Adsence clicks either, so advertisers are not likely to be paying much.
Although I am aware that a large section of the Indian community is in poverty, I also thought that there is a substantial, and growing techno savvy population, so I'm surprised that you say no one is buying online.
However, you could certainly target your site to a Western audience and their are many, many ways to monetize. _________________ Why Do Most Affiliates Make Less Than $500 Per Month?

Hi Larry,
Sorry for the late reply. Anyway thanks a lot for your response.
We can have keywords according to western demand, but the language? I don't think so my friend would get western style English. With this background would you suggest having a e-learning SBI instead of the normal $299?
I am not sure if e-learning classroom would help us to get that kind of western style content. |

If I understand your question correctly, your friend is not confident that he can write content in western style English.
If that is right then I think that you are right. I don't think that would be covered by the e-learning course.
When you purchase SBI-2 you get the Action Guide in both video and written format.
By taking your time and studying these you learn how to build your business.
The e-course does the same thing, but in a classroom format over twelve weeks.
If you wrote the content for your site in your sig, the English that you use is pretty western style. Could you partner with your friend and help with the content? _________________ Why Do Most Affiliates Make Less Than $500 Per Month?

Hi,
You meant to say that I got western style English?? Thanks a lot!! Now I am very much confident about my friend since his English is much better than me..lol..
Now, would you suggest me to go for e-learning ? this would deliver guaranteed success I guess. |

I honestly can't say which would be better for you. For one thing SBI e-learning is something new, I built my sites following the Action Guide. That is very do-able.
Try asking yourself these questions from the e-Course page
| Quote: | 1. Do you prefer the reassurance and sure progress of hands-on instruction?
2. Do you appreciate the discipline (and sense of accomplishment) of scheduled weekly progress?
3. Do you enjoy working with people in a small group (people who become friends) and progressing with them?
4. Do you want your specific questions answered directly and completely?
5. Do you like the idea of graduating with a business and a clear roadmap ahead?
|
If you would prefer to learn that way then the e-course may be better for you. _________________ Why Do Most Affiliates Make Less Than $500 Per Month?
