Not sure why you should need a credit card. To register domain names and get hosting accounts, a debit card will do, as long as it's visa or some other reputable card

| You don't need a credit card necessarily. If you are taking about offers you can do email submit offer that don't need credit cards. as for being paid you wouldn't need a credit card. you can get checks, paypal or wires. let me know if you got your questions answered |

Hi Samuel, As you've no doubt discovered, merchants normally require you to have a card to buy a domain name, pay for web hosting and buy affiliate instruction manuals.
If you don't have any sort of card that will work, do you have a friend or relative who would use their card for you?
If not, don't give up. It's difficult, but it IS possible to do everything free. Apart from paying for toll calls to get on the Internet, that's the way I started.
You can get free web hosting. You can create a free blog. You still have lots of options.

Hey Samuel,
I was in your exact situation back in 2004. I had just learned about affiliate programs and was excited to start doing business, but i couldn't do it right away because I didn't have any credit card or any other method of paying for hosting and domain.
I was 16, flat broke and and from Romania. So I came here and made a post about my situation and a whole scenario on how I would finally be able to put my site up. (using free hosting then making some money then buying a domain, making some more money and finally buy hosting. I didn't know about blogging and they weren't even that popular back then). Well, the guys here quickly convinced me that that was the hardest way one could do it, so I spent the next few weeks trying to convince my mom to get me an internet card. It cost me about 20 dollars for the card + about $40 for hosting and domain, and well, it all started from there.
I'm doing good now, but not good enough. Thanks to this business, I didn't need to get a job during college and I don't really plan to even after i finish.

Hi Eugen, Thanks for the update. It's nice to know you're doing well.
Samuel, The Overture keyword tool mentioned in that old post doesn't exist any more. However, there's now a much better one, provided by Google. If you do a search for Google AdWords Keyword Tool, you'll find it. Be careful to study it carefully, read every word on the page, click on the little "?" symbols you see after you've done a search, and read all the explanations you can find. If you don't, it's easy to jump to wrong conclusions, and you don't want to base a business on faulty research.

Allen has referenced some great links for information. I second reading through the information he has provided.
Also, if your really strapped for cash and no credit. Utilize all the free tools and marketing sites possible. Google keyword tool for research.

Squidoo
Wordpress.com
Blogger
etc.....
There are ways to get going. Don't get discouraged.

If you can get a checking account you can probably get a VISA check card which lets you do pretty much anything a credit card can do. You just have to keep your account funded.

Yes, you don't need a credit card because most of affiliate programs are free.
But try to really have a credit card. You will need it especially when your business is getting bigger.
