Hi all

I know this has been discussed a lot, however I never found a specific answer.

My question is, if I submit to yahoo via the express submit. Will they penalize me for having affiliate links? I know in Rupert?s case study he added his after he was accepted. I don?t want to risk not being added for any reasons.

Has anyone had any experience with this??

Warm regards

Johnny G

Simple enough, remove all of your affiliate links prior to submitting the website. After it's approved add the links back on.

There's some broken links in yahoo from years ago, they dont review listings after they have been approved.

Hi Johnny

It won't make a difference either way - they'll list your site if it's useful (and unique). Affiliate links won't stop them listing it.

Cheers

Gordon Bennett! Shocked

That's not just a copycat site, that's theft. I hope that Allan can do something about that.

But wait, it's not a complete copy the toe rag that's done this has altered the about me page, Rupert is now called Miro and comes from Croatia

All the best,
Larry Chamberlain.

Your site may have affiliate links and adsense ads, but it also has a lot of interesting and useful content (I have bookmarked it) - I think that this is the main criteria Yahoo will take into consideration. In other words, its probably okay to have some affiliate links, banners and or adsense ads, as long as you have some good 'non affiliate' content too. That would be my guess anyway.

I'm really shocked by this! Shocked Can't wait to hear from Allan and Rupert. Can't wait to see the scambag hanging by the b*lls. Evil or Very Mad Is this for real?? Like Debs, I'd like to know how Johnny G found this site. I'm shaking my head in disbelief.

Thanks for the alert. Much appreciated. Because this topic is about Yahoo! Express, I've started a new topic on the theft of material from Rupert's site:

How's this for blatant theft?

Hi all,

I was checking my backward links, one of the site that has a link to me

http://www.computers-place.com/topics.php/Hardware/

And I strolled upon a link in there called

Building your own cheap computers from cheap computer parts .

I thought that will probably be Rupert?s site.

I opened it and I was like oh my god, that?s a complete rip!!

I thought I would let this forum know about it, mainly because Rupert?s site has been a great guide for us new starters. Allan has a great forum and a great site.

This sort of copying is just appalling..

Warm regards

Johnny G
