Post subject: The Best Way To Boost PR & SE Results?

I know that the biggest key to improving SE results is backlinks.
But what are the best links and are there any other ways to boost SE results and Google's PR, other than building backlinks.
I have already optimized all my web pages with 1 keyword each and I am getting pretty good traffic 30 to 50 visitors per day from the SE's, but I need a higher placement in the results to really boost my traffic.
Any ideas are welcome.

PageRank has a lot more to do with the Quality of Links than the Quantity.
If your links come from other sites good respects then you get a piece of that respect passed on.
And the way you judge respect is with Google's PR tools. Ironic?

As a general rule, the higher the pagerank the backlinks are, the better. Also, try and create unique content that no one has written about before - your PR is likely to be higher when you have unique content, rather than duplicate content.

A great way to have people come to your website or link back to the website is to create a video and in the video include the link to your website. This video can be uploaded on YouTube or Blip.tv and then people all over the world will be exposed to it. Online video is a very powerful tool! Since online video is becoming so useful , there is now something called Direct Response Online Video. DROV allows companies to present their sales message, provide a valuable purchase incentive, and capture qualified leads immediately by email.
Even if you aren't selling anything DROV's are useful. You can conduct Q&A's , have your vistors fill out forms and then answer the questions on video.
Basically , there are many things that one can do with video on a website.

Personally I am not really into PR.
But SEO, yes thats where the traffic is
All you need is good content and some legitimate links from authority sites
A lot of people argue for long tail keywords but I say go for the big ones. With some hard work, you can make a decent impression

I think unique and fresh quality content matters a lot too.If users find your site interesting ,they will link your site naturally.thanks for sharing this type of useful information with us.keep up posting.

You need to have quality content as well. If you have it, it will lessen the amount of bounce rate that you are getting which means visitors stays long in your site. Remember, content is king right?

Backlinks are not the main factor effecting SERP. Quality and unique contents can bring your SERP up. If you continue on building unique contents, you can gain a better SERP.

As you said building backlinks is a great method to get better serp and get more traffic. Also contents plays vital role in building top SERP. So keep updating your blog or site with new contents.

Do not think about page rank just leave it on Google. And just think about SERP and traffic the both are important for web promotion.

Not true at all. The biggest way is to provide REAL VALUE to the people who visit your site.
Google doesn't just look at links. They look at time on site, they look at the location of the link from a number of points of view - the site, the geographic location, the proximity of the link on the page, the other links on the page.
Google is setting cookies and measuring user behaviors... in effect "following" the browser as they go from site to site.
If you think all you need is back links you are buying into a lie.
People want to search, find a site that is relevant to their search, find the information on that site that is a match to what they are looking for.
Google rewards value, because that is what people want.

well high PR matters a lot, as well as back-links. If you want to get more traffic then unique content can effect a lot, it can bring much more traffic than you expect. One more thing use social networking site, to promote your site.
