I make it point to make my background (behind the text) white, or close to white.
With this template, I personally would turn off the yellow highlighting.
About the stars, try to have all the stars on 1 row or to have each review have a uniform format.
If your main focus is auction reviews, I would strip out the navigation and make the review page the focal point of your traffic. You can still create tips/articles on the site that link to the review page. _________________ Charles Amith

I agree with nichefinder. Your nav bar can be grey but the web page background itself would be better in white. You'll have more contrast and not need the bright yellow highlight. (That's over-kill in my opinion). Just bold that text.
It would also be nice if your graphics were very crisp and clear. They look very pixelated which (again in my opinion) takes away some credibility for your site...
Hope that helps,

Viewing via Firefox on a 1680x1050 monitor
First view:
Too much grey
username/pass box centered top of page
primary links running into middle of page
most important content way towards bottom.
Thoughts
I believe the problem is the 3 columns you are using for your reviews, try switching to 2 columns and it might all move to the top. it may also move all the content to the top with your interior pages. I'm used to Joomla, so I could be off the mark.
-------------
The images you are using for the reviews:
you are either stretching or squishing them to fit and they are looking borken up and pixelized
------------
I would change the content backgroud to white
------------
Get a better header "Reviews You can trust"
------------
Good things:
nice domain name, good idea, tags seem to work well with page titles _________________ eCoverSource.com: eCover and Minisite design, re-branding of PLR products,Kunaki design, etc.
