Host it anywhere you want. But if you want to target UK residents get a .uk domain. There are good UK Hosts I promote one that uses UK or USA servers and their equipment and service is far superior to middle of road hosts like 1 and 1, Blue Host, Host Gator. That's been my experience. No long term contracts, and no jerking you around with "entry level" pricing schemes. The best part is they don't cost any more than the "other guys". Hows that for an aggressive plug? I sell what I use.
Back on point - you can host anywhere but it's hard to say what kind of ads may display as Geo Targeting seems to target the user not the host system. _________________

| What about roundtrip times? Won't UK users get a better experience from a nearby host rather than one across the atlantic or something? Obviously it depends on the pipes, but it's something to consider. |

the main reason is when you host a uk website in uk server then search engine gives first preference to the websites from uk server when people search in google.co.uk. so obviously when you host uk website in other server in other country then your website would not be shown when searched. |

Which ever one you decide on.. make sure you stay away from Fasthosts.co.uk They are just terrible, cheap, but terrible.
You get what you pay for!
In the age of BroadBand IMO it doesn't really matter where your server is, as long as it's a good one. _________________ The Wealthy Affiliate University - If You're Gonna Do It.. Do It Right!
