Post subject: What is an acceptable budget for a PPC campaign?
|
|
|
Here is my plan:
1. Find a niche using a keyword tool.
2. Find an affiliate program related to that niche.
3. Run a PPC campaign on google promoting my affiliate site.
I have never ran a PPC campaign and was wondering what an acceptable budget for a test campaign should be?
Should I create a web page or can I promote my affiliate link site?
Please advise. _________________ Email: rec.castaneda@gmail.com |

Determining what your budget should be is not that straight forward. Depends on the conversion of the products and the amount of commission you will make from each conversion
So for example if you are running a PPC campaign for a product that converts 1 in 100 visitros and your potential commission is $100 then I would budget $50 for the entire campaign and make a maximum bid of 50 cents
But the same daily bidget and conversions would sink you if your commission was $10 _________________ Free Marketing Videos

Wow... take some time to read all the tutorials on Google for Adwords. Then don't use adwords to start. Use a smaller network to get your feet wet.
Budgets don't matter only ROI matters. There are super affiliates plunking down half a million... yes half a million on campaigns. And they obviously profit from them and it's a full time job monitoring them.
I am not doing much CPC right now... but I can tell you that I wouldn't jump back in without a CPC management tool.
Unless you are working obscure niches you are up against fierce competition.
Adwords is not the place to learn. _________________

As far as a budget that all depends on you and what you can spend.
What is important is that you are making money on your campaign. You should be at least making twice what you are spending.
Be sure to track your progress and make sure that it is profitable. If you are showing 300 to 400 clicks and no sales, you need to reevaluate your campaign and change keywords, ads, spending, etc. Or possibly find a new product.
Good Luck,

When starting out, assume a break even point of one sale for every hunderd clicks, but realize that your actual conversion rate could be way less than that. This means that if your commission is $20, bid no more than 20 cents per click. _________________ Wealthy Affiliate Review
