Google was very quick to index my site. It spidered all existing pages within 2 days of submission. And now comes about every 3 weeks. Other SE's took much longer about 2-3 months to start coming with any regularity.
Ranking is a different story altogether. I think I had a rank of zero on all my pages at least until after Google completely indexed my site the second time. So, that took another month from initial submission. At that point Google ranked my home and main pages at 2, and this is where it stands until today.
I've had this site since November 2003, but only started working on reciprocal links this month. Now I have about 30 links including a listing on Yahoo. Since page rank is a factor of incoming links, internal and external, I'll have to see what rank Google gives it now, and how long it takes.

The process speeds up considerably once you get some good quality links in. Most SE's like to find you, as opposed to your submitting and you can't be found if you don't have links coming in.
There are a lot of threads on this forum about this very subject ... do a search and review some of the threads for more info.

Michael, Don't waste time thinking about this stuff yet. Create more keyword-rich pages and get more links to your site. _________________ Allan Gardyne

You'll get spidered when you have incoming links, as many here tell you.
However; I am spidered every 2 days(and ranked) by Google, but not any other search engine: They have spidered me, but I am not in their list: Quite annoying
This has gone on for three months (2 month of ranking games) _________________ DatabaseDesigner

Thanks everybody. I guess I'll try looking into some the past message threads, as mentioned, to find out more about getting incoming links into my site. I don't remember reading anything about that or how its done so I'll do a little investigating. Thanks for the advice.
