Post subject: Created datafeed website and only had a few purchases

I just completed my first datafeed website 3 weeks ago. I wrote an article and submitted it to various websites for publishing. Next I used yahoo search marketing so that my website shows up in the yahoo search engine search results. I've budgeted 10 dollars per day and on average I show up in the top 8 results. This is only my 5th day in using yahoo search marketing. I've used more specific keywords than general keywords as I read that if you use general keywords then those keywords are for customers who are in the research phase. I've used words such as exact phrases like dodger tshirts,Earth t-shirts, Frankenstein Shirts, Ethiopia T-Shirts, and grill sargent shirt to name just a few. I read that if you use more specific search phrases customers know more less of what they want to buy and therefore will most likely be in the buying phase. I've made only around 8 sales on my website. Is there something I can do to get more sales or to get more traffic in order to increase sales. I don't know what else I can do other than ask people who have more experience than me. Any advice or resources to read would be quite helpful. Thanks to all in advance.

You can try split testing your ads, tweaking your ad copy, tweaking your website, try new keywords, or try other approaches to see if you can get better results. Its all about testing and trying new things...

I agree, try adding keyword modifiers. Also split test the ads, and track exactly what keywords make you money.
Buy
Purchase
Order
Review
Scam
Go to Google insight for search and type in your keyword terms and see other related keywords.
Go to spyfu or compete and type in the top competitors websites and see what keywords they are bidding on.
Use Google keyword tool and type in the website url of the affiliates website, gives you more ideas of targeted keywords.
Do you blog in your niche.
What about online forums.

You need to continue to write and promote your site. You said you wrote one article and submitted it. You need to write many many more and submit them so you build backlinks and drive traffic to the site.
