There is no doubt that Joe Kumar's information is worth that and more"He's a true sucess on the internet."

But since you asked for an opinion "Which I have" is get a product to sell not selling information .I say this because in my opinion a website is a place you can put tons of products and information which a bumper sticker, business card, magnet on your car, handbills or some other cheap advertisement can be used.

One time I made some flyers and you will be shocked the traffic I got from them if I remember right I paid 2 cents a piece to get them printed.

That's my 2 cents and my opinion Very Happy

There are several threads about Joe Kumar's ebook.

The trick is ...do you want to use his ebook yourself? Or do you want to resell it?

If you want to use it yourself to create your own online business in 30 days, then it is worth it. If you are looking just to resell it, I wouldn't recommend it. The market is already saturated.

You need to create a site that offers something unique ... not necessarily a product, but a unique perspective for your visitors. If you just put up another cookie cutter website, your chances for success are slim to none.

There are a great many threads on this forum on the different ways to succeed online but they all have one thing in common ... hard work. Review the threads ... do searches for:

minisites, micro or one page sales sites, content sites

The time, effort, and money you have to spend, not to mention your own personality can help determine which way is best for you to begin with. If you have your own product to sell, or want to earn affiliate income is another determining factor.

Check out PPC (pay per click) as well as search engine placement to drive traffic to your site.

Some ways are quicker than others, but usually cost more. You have a lot of options, think about the amount of time you want to spend, the amount of money you have to spend, and what USP (unique selling proposition) you can bring to your product/topic.

Feel free to explore ideas on the forum, there are a lot of very helpful and knowledgeable people here.

Hope this helps,
Debs

You say you are a newbie ready to start online business.

I have not read the book you are referring to, but I know that you get everything you need by investing into Site Build It.

There is a group here only discussing that product,

My own site is built on that product. So far I haven't needed other products, or books, and I have learnt a lot from the books included in that product. I am now passing 5.000 visitors pr. month after three months.

Actually, my colleagues at job (all are IT professionals) don't quite understand how I get that traffic in such a short time...

I do believe this is the least expensive way to go for you if you are, as you say, a newbie wanting top do online business.

Best of luck to you,

If you are really new and don't know html, marketing, SEO, etc., then I concur with Db ... SiteBuildit is a fantastic way to go ... you produce faster because the learning curve is greatly reduced. I use SBi as well and can highly recommend it.

You can see information on it, Allan (the forum owner) has several articles accessible from the home page that go into great detail:

If you really want to buy Joe Kumar's book, poke around the internet. You can buy it from one of his resellers for about $30 USD.

here's my suggestion ...

1 - find topic to focus on - use wordtracker. the free trial is fine
2 - read on that topic and develop content for your website
3 - read up on search engine optimization
4 - buy domain, hosting and build your website
5 - build incoming links

i guess, if you do that, you can start to see the comissions in about 2 months or less from the launch date.

I also agree Site Build It is for you if you're a really green newbie.

One of the easiest ways to start making money online is with a free stuff site. You get both your content and you ads from the ad networks.

Free stuff sites don't work all that well. There is a HUGE level of competition, and you have to be better than the rest. And that can be a daunting task for a newbie.

I recommend following Kidino's suggestions. If you can afford it (it is well worth the price) substitute SBI for the web hosting.

I had a longer explaination last time ... but it went busted during the post submission. Aah ... so I just wrote a simple one.

If you can see, I didn't include search engine submission. Not relevent anymore ... I think building your incoming links is more important than submitting to search engines.

And don't forget to submit to directories when the site is complete. While SE's may go looking for you, directories don't. Also, directories will help tremendously in link popularity, and at times, visitor referrals.

2 - read on that topic and develop content for your website

Let me just elaborate on this. When I started out, this is exactly what I did ...

1 - I looked for a keyword
2 - I bought domain and hosting
3 - Find an affiliate program / product to promote
4 - I BUILT A 2-PAGE WESBITE
5 - Submit to the search engine (I used www.selfpromotion.com)
6 - Leave it be ...

The thing is I saw 1 sale in the third month and another in the forth. Each with $13 commission. Seeing that result, I know that I needed to build more content. I was listed very good in the search engines for a limited number of keywords ... or should I say just three keywords.

To tell you the truth, that product that I was promoting, I know NOTHING about it. I have not bought it before, I have not bought any product similar to it before.

But ... since I know that I need to develop more content, these were what I did ...

1 - Read discussions in related forums
2 - Read articles in related websites
3 - Search for related books in Amazon and bought in local bookstore*
4 - Find related magazines and look for it at local newstand*

Delivery to my country costs a lot

And later ... I come up with 25-page website. With that, sales tripled. Search engines must really like the website. There was a time when the website did $800 a month in commission. And there was a time when I have $400 of sale in a single purchase.

And now .. how's the website? It's was terrible at Google after Florida Update. Then Austin ... worse ... but still manage to put in at least $100 of commission every single month.

Now with Yahoo's new algo ... things are really doing well. I hope this continues even after April, 15.

Actually, I just would like to share some experience hoping to give Carla and maybe some others as well some motivation. And I also would like to point out the importance of content. And also, you don't have to know everything about it to really build a website about it.

I think some of you may have known that now you can even outsource the content development. Just like Gary Antosh (speedguide) tells it in his ebook.

I guess, that is all ... hope this helps.

I was one of those guys that bought resell rights to Joe Kumar's books. Joe did some things to tick off a lot of peope, including me. I still truly believe that the books themselves are great, I've tried out some of the strategies with some success....anyhow, that's my two cents worth on Joe......I'm off to work on my new SBI site.
