Hey there,

I am promoting a product, let's just say it's an e-book entitled 'Meet Your Dream Girl'.

I am only bidding on the product name 'Meet your Dream Girl' and then will be offering my own free bonus to get people to buy from my affiliate site for the free bonus.

My question is: Would you advertise to 'all countries' for your google ad? Is there any negative side effect to advertising to 'all countries'? ie. lower ctr, etc. Since I'm only bidding on the product name itself, seems like 'all countries' is the only logical way to go...then again, I still have a lot to learn.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Serge, you could certainly do this although you might just want to select the mainly English speaking countries. If you are marketing globally, I'd just make sure you have a way of monitoring per country so you can see what's performing for you. Then you can de-select countries which are not profitable for you and preserve your CTR. You can also see which countries might be a better investment for PPC and adjust your budget better.

I'd be more selective - not into wasting money.

Why? Who knows what culture and language differences will come in to effect.

Would you want your ads displayed in a a country that values arraigned marriage? What if your choice of wording translates awkwardly?

Pick your markets and work up from there.

If your product is written in English do target English-speaking countries such as USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

Advertise globally may not reap good results as not all countries can understand English better other than the ones mentioned above.
