|
the below are top methods for link building, please share yours.
All OFF PAGE SEO
1. Contact site owners, give them relevant articles in exchange for links.
2. Insert articles in article directories with relevant links back to site. track these articles and when other websites pick them up offer them more articles free in exchange for links, works like a charm.
3. Contact site owners for link exchange (Think outside the box here)e.g type in your main keyword in google, go to the 3-4th page, these sites usualy have a good PR and are willing to exchange links than page 1 results.
4. Contact site owners and ask them would they be willing to conver a keyword on their existing article to point back to your site in exchange for articles (articles with your links)
5. copy all of your competitors backlinks
6. Use Isnare article distribution.

22.
Wiki site submissions
23.
Facebook and myspace (Top Method)
24.

27.
web 2.0 marketing, (My Way!!!!)
28.
Squidoo & hubpage creation

All these methods work, but its very very important you have a strategy to implement them that is key, believe me!

time is money...so you want to do longterm strategies. Established directories, social bookmarking websites, and niche forums are great ways to get relevant one way backlinks. As far as traffic goes you will want to build relationships within social networks and other communities. _________________ Game Videos, Ask a Gamer, Game News |

In my experience, any link building strategy that involves contacting strangers one at a time is a very poor time investment. It simply doesn't matter how you word the contact mail, or how good your offer is, imho.
What's worked wonders for us is creating a useful web page widget that webmasters can install on their own sites, to build their own links. We've gotten 9,500+ links in two months by this method. _________________ The best nature on the Net, delivered to your inbox.

One thing to keep in mind about link building is that if it is easy, it will stop being useful very soon. The guys and Google are very smart, so are the guys at Yahoo (believe it or not). If they see that people are getting links in an easy way that doesn't help the end user, they will change the value associated with it. The best way is always to get links from relevant sites in your niche by contacting webmasters. Not-just link exchanges, but partnerships where you work together to promote a site and its features. I would much rather have a quality context link on a niche site than 10 links on various "some other sites to look at" pages. _________________ www.affiliateprograms.com |

Linkbuilding is not just about QUANTITY. Everybody seems obsessed with getting thousands of links. From my experience this is just a waste of time - especially for new sites.
The key thing is to focus on High PR, relevant sites and get fewer QUALITY backlinks.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to spend 3 hours a day building links - there are more important things in your business to work on.
By dedicating only 15 to 20 minutes a day to it and being 100% focussed you will get all the links you need. You need to learn how to use leverage (cliched I know) _________________ PR3 in 7 Weeks - Get Front Page Google Rankings Fast

| You'll have higher chances of getting into top rankings if your going to participate in doing On-Page Optimization too.. It deals with the proper use of title tags, meta tags, alt-tags (use to describe images), h1/h2 tags (headings), description and keywords.. As much as possible avoid using competitive keywords.. |

I don't agree that you should avoid popular keywords. If you aren't relevant than yes, but popular keywords are great. Its even better if you can find some good combo keywords. IE. popular keyword + other keyword, then you can rank really high for that.
I do however agree that it would be better to have a few really relevant links from high PR pages than 9,500 links from crappy spam sites. _________________ www.affiliateprograms.com |

With software like SEO Elite you can analyze your competitors site and see who's linking to them.
The common belief is that if you get links from the same sites you can outrank them.
This does not work that well anymore because it was mostly the strategy back in the day when exchanging links was the main linkbuilding strategy.
Today you will find that most of the top sites have exclusive links that they probably paid for, so it's not as simple as copying their links. _________________ PR3 in 7 Weeks - Get Front Page Google Rankings Fast

Not sure exactly what he meant by that.
I think he's referring to sponsoring templates and widgets - this is popular with Wordpress and there are some sites where you can sponsor designers (pay them a couple of hundred bucks) to create free themes and applications and in return you can leave a backlink in the theme or widget.
The only other related method is if you sponsor charities.
This is a killer method to get high PR links. Some charity sites have insane PR's - some as high as PR9 simply because they get so many sites linking to them.
If you find soe clever way to support these charities, most of them will put your link up on their site. If you donate generously (tax deductible ) you may even get a backlink from their home page.
You have to be creative though - try and think beyond donating money. There's always someone that will give more money than you, but maybe you can give something unique? _________________ PR3 in 7 Weeks - Get Front Page Google Rankings Fast
