Post subject: Why can't I subscribe to Allan's Newsletter, Allan?
|

Hi Allan,
I have been trying to subscribe today (several times). I know I was once subscribed and then unsubscribed with my regular email, so I also tried to subscribe with another name under the same domain. Won't work: I never got the confirmation email. As an SBIer I have my spamfilter on, but I have whitelisted both associateprograms.com as well as your personal email address.
Are you fully booked, or do you have room for another subscriber I need to accelerate/expand my business, and this is the place to be.
I could need some help here, unless you are willing to hardwire my address to your list:
alf at databasedesign-resource dot com.

That's weird. I'll ask Jay and our programmer to see if they can figure out what's going on.
In the meantime, you can find the 2009 newsletters archived here:
http://www.AssociatePrograms.com/categories/Newsletter-Archive/2009-Newsletters/
I just tested the newsletter signup box on the main page at http://www.AssociatePrograms.com
It sent a confirmation message straight away. The Subject line is: Confirmation required for Associate Programs Newsletter
Would you mind trying one more time please?
Do you remember which page you were on when you signed up? I don't think it would make a difference, but I suppose it's possible. It sems unlikely, but perhaps there could be a faulty signup box in one section of the site. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I just inserted my email address in the box in the right hand menu and, when the confirmation email arrived, clicked the link provided and got the message my subscription was confirmed.
It could be something your email is blocking.

Hi Alf,
You're getting all the Associate Programs crew out today!
I checked our list manager and your email address appeared as "confirm-failed", so it looks as though you did not receive the confirm email. I figured it was probably easier to delete the lot and start again, which I've done, so you're now properly subscribed.
I would check to make sure that Allan's address is whitelisted so you do get the newsletter. You can always read it online, but it's not quite the same has having it come into your mailbox where you can print it off and read it at your leisure.
All the best,
Glennys _________________ Glennys Faulds

Alf, Just a thought... could there be a typing mistake or something in your whitelisting of the newsletter email address?

Hi folks: Sorry to make such trouble.
Allan: To whitelist your personal email, I did a copy/paste from your site, so no typos. I also had "anything"@associateprograms.com whitelisted already from years back.
It sounds far-fetched, but nowadays I use Google Chrome as browser. Can't think of anything else.
But anyway, as Glennys said, I am now properly subscribed. Thanks a lot, and sorry for the trouble: Good to be back
