One good way is to tap into other people's existing, related traffic flows...
Have you checked Paul Myers' book yet?
Cheers,
Charlie.
P.S. Remember there is a difference between building a list and running an ezine. I think the first is vital, the second just an option...
For example, some people haven't got the time to read full-blown ezines and prefer just quick notices or links to where they can find the full story.
I'd consider offering people different subscription offerings - build several small lists giving people exactly what they want (and how they want it) for each. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Hi Charlie,
Thats what im doing now, I dont wish to get into long drawn out newsletter, however when any new product/service/resourse comes up i send them the details.
Of course I first check out the products etc.. & only promote the ones I would personally use.
I will check out Pauls book soon.
Thanks,
Joe. |

I'd mix in some messages where you recommend something you don't get anything out of, too.
This can help in a couple of ways...
Firstly, you don't want to sound just as though you are sending them "this week's affiliate link", however good the product.
Secondly, you are trying to build yourself a reputation as a trusted expert. The ultimate position is when your readers think "Joe suggests it, so I'll have it" without really reading the sales letter.
[I rely on a couple of people in this way, but I won't be naming names, in case they're reading. It's expensive enough already. ]
Furthermore, I wouldn't have a fixed publishing schedule for a service like this. Something out of the blue should sound more genuine.
All the best,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."
