Hi everyone,

This month so far I have gotten around
800 visitors.

I wonder why no one is buying.
I think I have given good content.

My link earlier was a harder sell, I got
clickthroughs but no sales.

I put a softer sell about more yummy recipes.
I have no clickthroughs.

No clickthroughs for the carb tracker either, its
been up 2 or 3 days.

10 people have signed up for my ezine.

My site has been live since Dec. 9th.

Other than create more content I don't know
how to help myself get some sales.

Any suggestions please.

Jeremy Hier

Get more traffic ... exchange more links, write more content, submit articles to on topic sites looking for articles.

You try tweaking a page ... don't 'softsell' ... you need to presell. You have some nice content but it's pretty basic. Write articles about your topic, using keyphrases in your niche, to presell the products you are promoting.

Thanks Debs,

I got an email from someone saying
they like my site, but they can't find
my links to buy something.

I put my links toward the bottom of the page.

Isn't this how it should be done.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Jeremy, ask them if they are running Norton's Firewall ... if so, Norton's has rendered your affiliate links useless ...

If they are running it, just advise them that Norton's interferes with their ability to see clickable links for purchasing on sites ... and they can set that feature off.

Go find out how to turn it off so you know what you are talking about Wink

Hopefully, it's one down and 450,000 to go Wink

Yesterday I only got one click.

This is just one person, how can I tell
all of them about the firewall if this
is why.

I got more clickthrus when my link was at
the beginning of the page.

I'll put up the other links at the 1st 20 percent
of the page and see what happens.

Jeremy

P.S. Can you see my links.

Also the number 1 viewed
page is my ezine page.

Not too many signups.

Any suggestions please about the
ezine page.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,
I'm no expert at this, but I can tell you what I saw as I jumped on your site.

It's attractive. You seem to have a lot of information, but
home page seems long with many single line paragraphs. Single line paragraphs are usually for emphasis, but not everything can be of the same importance. My eyes had a difficult time landing on something. I did read the title Fact #1, but not the fact, because I'm skimming. I got down to Glucagon....read that ...and then pressed on Tasty Low Carb Recipes.

What clearly stood out on that next page is your EZine box and the words Click Here on the link. I didn't want to leave the page yet, so I scrolled down to press Click Here to get started. The affiliate site loads slowly on my computer(dialup). The banner ads popup first. I normally would have closed it.

I clicked on the Carb Counter.....that interests me. However, I rarely read from the first word on a page. I skim fast...supposedly what most people do. I saw your Click Here link, but ignored it because I wanted to see what else was on the page. The layout makes it unclear for someone who is skimming. Now that I'm looking at it closely, I see the bold headers are titles(Campbell's Soup) but the soups are in the same sized font. Tough to tell what's going on quickly.
That also makes this page long and you're only listing soups. Tasty, but not what I'm having for dinner.

Since you're using this as an example, I'd cut it back to bring your other links up higher.

I like the 15 minute Recipes page....: low-carb-receipies.html =typo keyword? It's shorter with Bold areas that interest me.

Is this an intentional recipe name? Tuna Salad Sanwhich = Sandwich

I found 3 affiliates. I was looking for more.
I just got through the South Beach Diet page that led me to Amazon. I'm losing weight already! Thanks,

Hope this newbie-to-newbie info is useful.

Mike
