Post subject: Llow competition but no ad
|
|
|
| I found keywords that are quite high in demand with low supply of competition but they dont have a single google ad. Does this mean that I should discard this keyword? Can a marketer still make money out of this result? any tips? |

informer,
This is a good thing...
First be sure that this is the results, check out in what country you search (different Ad results in different countries) if you want to check in a specific country just add &gl=us for USA for example in the google search url results...
Check competition in other countries to have a sense of products
Now, check out what if there are any merchants related to this keywords.
and go for it in PPC first and if convert - SEO
Give it a test...

| Thanks my friend, but what about the google ads. Shouldn't I be looking for keywords with lots of google ads? |

usually yes, that is a good sign that there are many ads.
but this is also a good sign that there are many searches and no ads.
Maybe you have a good niche keyword
....you will need to test and try and find it out _________________ PPC Bully / Keyword Research Tool |

You need to find viable markets.
If there is no completion, an there are no advertisers is that market viable?
If you are an affiliate marketer, perhaps not.
If you are marketing your own products with that niche, then I'd buy SpeedPPC, crank out your best written Squeeze pages and have at. _________________

If there are no Google ads at all I'd suspect its just an unprofitable niche. Its possible that the topic is popular and gets a ton of searches...but no one is willing to pay for it.
Here's an example...go to wordtracker and search for "how to" and you'll find lots of keywords with high search volume. Let's pick one...
"how to make a mojito" gets a whopping 1731 searches a day! Run a search in Google and there's no ads at all. Why?
Because the people running a search can get countless mojito recipes online for free. They want to learn how to make a mojito but they aren't willing/don't need to pay for it.
When you're looking for niches/keywords, you have to put yourself in your visitors shoes. What are they really looking for? And will they pay for it?
That said...it can't hurt to run a small scale campaign to test the waters and see if you get any bites. Just don't put a lot of resources into it until you know it will pan out. _________________ How to Make a Website
