Post subject: How Do I Get Off of Matell's Email SPAM list
|
|
|
I cannot count the times I have UNSUBSRIBED to this spammers list. I was off of it for a good 6 months and now I am back on it.
I unsubcribed again recently and still I am getting his ongoing spam.
I am sure it cannot be a forgotten list I subscribed to because I have unscsribed so many times
Anyone have any suggestions on how to get off of his list.
Yes, years ago I bought his book and subscribed to the Buzz (a waste of time unless you like Cobras)
My email address has always been the same and I cannot get him to unsubscribe me. |

I had the same problem - several emails every time he sends something out, and the unsubscribe link wouldn't seem to unsubscribe me.
I just created a filter in my email that sends anything from him straight to the deleted folder, so I never see it.
I suppose you could contact his ISP if you really feel strongly about it, but I can't be bothered. As long as I don't see the emails, that fine with me. |

He's a big fat guy.
Someone should start a pool on how much longer he'll even be alive.
You can drop off the list when that happens... unless he can come back from the other side and hit you up more.
When you own your own domain you can make a whole lot of email addresses.
I make it a practice to create addresses specifically for use with certain programs.
If you use only one address for everything it doesn't take long to have so much junk in your email box that you have to kill the address.
And that is not a viable solution if you need to conduct real business and have given your address out.
The world is full of idiots who think they can make money spamming. And the amount of effort they spend to make next to nothing is nothing short of amazing.
But until the average moron spammer clues into the fact that spamming is not "marketing" the deluge of junk will continue.
Lesson learned. _________________

Wow, what a classy comment
I don't care for Mr. Martell a whole lot, but this is a little harsh, don't you think? |

Hmm. Interesting. Does this thread really state the current state of Mr. Martell's public image, or is it just the perspective of a few? I have no idea here, not making any kind of point.
I have been occasionally curious what was happening in the Martell empire, haven't heard much about him recently. I was wondering if his ship went down during the "thin affiliate" storm. _________________ The best nature on the Net, delivered to your inbox.

I imagine the state of this forum is telling of his current status.
The earliest post showing on the main page of the James Martell section is from November 2005 - almost 3 years ago. I first knew of him a bit before that, and this forum was pretty active at that point.
I don't think he has the status he did back then, and as far as I've seen he hasn't really done much to get his name out there. You don't see him mentioned very much, unlike many others who teach affiliate marketing.
But for the record, I don't really think he's a spammer like the first poster in this thread. I think it's more likely a case of lack of attention to his business, and his autoresponder is not working properly to remove people. |
