Hi Ballistik, Welcome! I'm sorry you find everything so vague. Have you checked out my free 18-step Affiliate Program Tutorial? You can find it by clicking on the "Beginners" link at the top left of the page.

Good, accomplished marketing mentors usually charge several hundred dollars an hour. Good luck! _________________ Allan Gardyne

There's a GREAT free affiliate marketing training course by Jeremy Palmer that you can sign up for at http://www.theblackinkproject.com. Jeremy is the guy who wrote High Performance Affiliate Marketing which Allen recommended in his newsletter sometime last year I believe (which btw is now available for free at http://www.quityourdayjob.com/learning).
I've also sent you a PM that may be of interest. I recently came across an Internet marketing specialist who quietly earns a killing by putting up dead simple sites that make money day in and out. He's now training affiliates to achieve similar success with his simple methods and in addition to the training manual, DVD, case studies, members club, etc. he also gives you a phone number to call him on if you want to chat. Very few people would go that far to help their students but he does which is why I'm recommending him. Check your PM for more information.

Terry Dean offers mentoring for $500 per month. terrydean.com
He knows this business, but I think his advice would likely be overkill for a beginner. Too much, too fast probably.
Here's a thought. How about making a site about your search for a mentor? Dive in to your search with seriousness, and document everything you learn about mentors, how to find them, reports from students and so on.
If someone is searching for a one to one mentor, here's a tip. To get your mentor, at a reasonable price, find some way to prove your seriousness.
Lots of experienced people will share their time, if they can in return get the satisfaction of seeing their time go to good use.
Does someone want to join this business, and become a salesman?
Ok then, their first job is to sell a mentor on being their mentor.
Get organized, create your plan to sell your mentor on you. Submit your plan here for review, adapt your plan to input, execute your plan.
Learn by doing. Learn by selling.
If all that sounds like too much trouble to someone reading this, they've learned something useful.
I am tired of hearing all about how everyone is making money on the internet
Pick your Forum, and run your poll.
Everybody isn't making money online. The TRUTH is most people will NEVER make any REAL money online. What I mean is they will never be able to fully support themselves.
This is a business like any other business. But unlike other businesses, there really isn't a school you attend to learn.
The Internet is "Wide Open Space" and it takes more than ambition and determination. It takes "Street Smarts". You have to learn "How to" do something. Then you learn how to scale it. Then you learn how to diversify.
I don't say this to dissuade you or to pain a negative light on the topic. It's simply the reality.
If I were betting on a "Noob" to make money online, I'd place my bet on the guy that figured out how to sell real world products on Ebay before I'd bet on the guy trying to break into affiliate marketing.
There is a lot to learn, and you really learn by "Doing".
Like the Real Estate Business you have to pay your dues and work your way up. You have to be willing to live with next to nothing in terms of income as you build your projects.
You have to be willing to accept failure and learn from it.
This business is not for everyone.
I do not mentor. I've had my fill of wanna bee's (This is not to insult you) who only want me to tell they some Easy Way to make money or some trick.
There are no short cuts - it's work. And any successful online marketer has paid their dues.
So before you jump off on the hire a mentor approach. STOP. Take the time to Read Allan's Guides. Invest in Rosalind Gardner's "Super Affiliate Handbook". Read it cover to cover.
Then decide if this is a business you want to explore further.
For me, I will suggest you learn from Ewen Chia
or Rosalind Gardner.
For me, both of them are great in affiliate marketing.
Ewen is the world's number one super affiliate.
Someday I can do better than him. _________________ The #1 Success and Wealth Creation Blog:
