Post subject: Blogspot - A Few Questions
|
|
|
Hiya... I'm testing out Blogger, and I just had a few questions that Google, , can't seem to answer.
1. How does PageRank work with Blogger?
2. Is the NavBar (on top) truly useful for your blog?
And then a not so technical question...
3. Compared to owning your own domain, is monetization harder? _________________ Fitness and nutrition tips for todays geek! |

As far as monetizing a Blogger blog, it is no different than monetizing any other kind of blog. I have monetized a seasonal blog in the past and never promoted it. Just from using a unique topic and Google hosting the images it brought me a ton of traffic, which ended in affiliate sales. _________________ www.MarketLeverage60milewalk.com - Affiliate Marketers Giving Back for Breast Cancer |

You can get pagerank pretty much the same as you would any site.
The navbar is useful for the search function but lots of people dont care too much for its appearance and you can make it invisible.
Using a custom domain with your blogspot hosted blog is actually quite simple to do you can even buy the domain through google/godaddy and have everything working inside a few minutes. _________________ Slim Tea Diet

For monetization, if you are serious in making
big money, then you should have your own domain
and hosting for your blog. _________________ Free e-Course Reveals: How You Can Generate A *4-Figure* Online Income All On Autopilot Without Sweat By Following The Guaranteed System... From Scratch! |

I believe PR works the same for Blogger as it does for anything else. And I agree that it is easier to rank high in Google if you have a top level domain instead of something.blogspot.com. Subdomains just don't have quite as much "google juice." I had one site before that ranked VERY low in the SERPS....then I bought my own domain and it went to the second page on Google.
Monetization works well with Blogger. You can add affiliate links to make some money. Or you can use the Adsense gadget and put ads on your blog and earn some money that way. You could even use both methods if you want. I use Blogger all the time and love it. Good luck! _________________ Read My Wealthy Affiliate Review |

Blogger is probably easier to use than traditional websites. Each post acts as a stand alone webpage and the URL conntains the words in your title. So include your keywords in your post tile and it automatically gets passed on to the posts URL
How's that for a quick SEO tip _________________ Free Marketing Videos

Regarding the NavBar, I guess there is not much of a great use to it, as far as i can tell, except for reporting a violation of policy, etc. it does not serve much of a purpose. _________________ Offers Blog India |
