Post subject: selling a site
|
|
|
Hi Everyone,
I have built 2 sites using SBI. The first one is about 5 months old and is really taking off. The second one is a little newer and is slowly but surely getting there. The problem is I think I've bit off more than I can chew and would like to maybe sell the second site. Has anyone sold a fairly new site? I have put a lot of work into it and would hate to just let it go. Any advice would be appreciated.
P.S.
I am very new to all of this and was only able to get this far because of SBI and Associate Programs.com
Sincerely,
Laura |

If your site seems to be doing well, why do you want to sell it?
Is it producing any income?
If you want a site review, post it in the Review forum. People can offer advice tweaks you can do to boost performance. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

The first site is taking up most of my time and is much more interesting to me. The second site is not making any money to speak of yet but has a lot of good articles and paid submissions to Yahoo and Joeant. I want to focus my energy on the first (I also still work my full time job) PLus I have started an ezine and want to sell some products too (e-goods and hardgoods) So I just wanted to through the idea out there. I could always just let it be and work very part-part time on it.
Thanks for your response. Maybe I will post it in the review section.

I'd make it low priority, but still keep it going. After awhile, you will find that all the successful affiliates have multiple sites (and multiple income streams) going...

I'm curious, Laura...
Which site is your favorite and which one is on the back burner?
IMHO, they both looked pretty good.

Laura, I've fixed the URL which didn't work.
You don't need to add any coding to an URL on this forum. Just write the URL, the the forum software turns it into a link for you. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I'm curious too; they both have good content that looks like you know your stuff . _________________ - blake

That's easy enough to guess.
The cheap-chic-weddings.com site is Laura's favorite and first site. It has a higher Google page rank, a higher Alexa rank, and many more pages than the other site.

From someone who is interested in playing around with SBI and wanting to get (female) partner involved...
How much would you be looking for for the site?
Is it possible to transfer the SBI license?
If you are still thinking of selling then please send me a message,
Thanks - Simon. |

Thanks to everyone for the input.
Debbie, Yaron is right the wedding site is my favorite. It's doing pretty well and it's a lot of fun for me. Like the gurus (Ken and Allan) say do what you love.
Thanks Allan for fixing the URL.
Best,

Laura,
regarding your 2nd site, check out the forums at selfstartersweekly dot com where lots of Web-Ladies are discussing their businesses with lots of work at home moms stuff.
Maybe you can get some ideas about improving your site or better promoting it there.
Anyway, both sites look quite good and even though you are not 100% happy with maintaining 2 sites, I would keep the second site. _________________ Explore The Most Up to Date Site About How to Succeed with Adwords! |
