Encountering too many site timeouts for associate programs.com
I'm on the West Coast of the United States. I hit a site in Singapore among others to see if it was my connection. Everything there was fine.
Just a heads up.
I think I'm getting crass in my old age. Keep hoping the level of information in the Forums will increase. But I keep seeing more and more people who know next to nothing posting over and over the same things they read (but don't fully understand) the day before on someones blog.
I don't know everything - don't even pretend to. I learn something new every day. I read and read and read. And work and work and work and test... well you know what it takes.
Hoping the quality picks up.
Well I'm off to the next task.
Cheers _________________

I, too, am encountering time outs, especially when posting. It is very annoying waiting two to three minutes. And, it is NOT my service, because it is only AP where I encounter this.
I have been away from AP for a while only to return within the past month. I have to agree with Quest about the level of information I have returned to. Mostly no knowledge at all about affiliate marketing or posts so "broken" I can't understand them.
Like Quest, I don't know everything, and don't pretend to, but it appears to me that AP has "slipped" tremendously over the past year. While AP (main site)has a lot of helpful info, the forum has taken a real downslide. That's a shame.

Hi Jim and quest, Thanks very much for the alert, about the access problems and quality of posts.
I'll see what I can do about the access problems - the quality of posts is a much tougher challenge!
One of our challenges is that we do this affiliate marketing stuff. We don't just talk about it.
Our most recent project, SpeedPPC, while very successful (now steadily generating thousands of dollars a day), grew into a much larger project than we envisioned, and I'm sorry to say this distracted our attention from AssociatePrograms.com. Many of the planned improvements I've been looking forward to seeing at AssociatePrograms.com have been delayed because everyone has been working so hard on SpeedPPC.
As you may know, we set up a new office, including a full-time programmer, in January, and he has a long list of things to improve on AssociatePrograms.com.
I'm a strong believer that massive change can be made by making a series of very small, incremental changes. If you make enough such changes, you can achieve exponential growth.
We have a new, highly talented, incredibly keen and hard working team. We're growing fast, planning more projects and we'll be publishing case studies based on those projects.
I appreciate your participation here. If you're patient and stick with us, I think you'll be able to watch us make good progress over the next few years. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I was never an avid comment writer, but I did follow this forum quite closely for a year or so back in 2004/5. Things that I learned here, I put into good use for my employer. Things change, so I'm back now to learn something for myself.
To my surprise, I can also say that there is notable difference in quality. It is time to give back, I'll be more active in giving opinions and answering questions. _________________ http://www.fakemoneyblog.com/
