Hi,
I just began to submit articles, by far I have submitted 13 articles to several article sites.

But I have not see any results. I didn't get backlinks, I didn't get any traffic.

I use Google Analytic to track my site stat, but I have not see any traffic come from other sources except aweber.(I guess only me visit my website).

My articles got approved by many article sites, but no traffic? Is it because of something I doing wrong with Google Analytic? But I did put the code on all my web pages.

By the way, I found my squeeze page just indexed by Google. But how do I really get traffic and increase page rank from article marketing?

Either the directories you submited to have minimal traffic or the articles were good enough to attract traffic to your site Sad

You get very little or no PR benefit from article marketing. Worst case is when sites link to your article and use the directories link as the source - and NOT you site.

That's also why you usually want to wait until Google has you indexed in their system before submitting articles to article directories. That way, you'll be seen as the source instead of the article directories and will get the credit.

What's a good way to get indexed before you start submitting your articles? Well, if you are using a WordPress blog, you usually get picked up right away. If not, go to Google and sign up for their Webmaster Tools section and authorize/verify your site and then submit it to be crawled. That helps.

Sometimes it takes a couple days to weeks for the articles to kick in and start driving traffic back to your sites too. Make sure you always have a good call to action in the "Author's Bio" section at the end of your article.

I've heard a good way to do it is write an article talking about a "problem" but don't really answer the problem in the article. Then, at the author's bio, describe to the reader how they can solve their problem by visiting your website. That should increase your click thru rate to your site.

Article Marketing is not simply write 100 articles and submit to as many article directories you can find, it is more than that.

You must make sure your Title of the article is very catchy enough so that people will click on it and actually read it. Title like "How To...", "10 Killer Ideas...", "7 Secrets To..." and so on are much likely to be read. This is only the first step.

You need to have a proper structure of the article like the Introduction, Body, and lastly Conclusion. You need to entice the reader by helping them solve their daily problem.

Lastly, provide something useful for the readers inside your Bio Box. Something like a free ebook, newsletter, tips, training and so on will be much likely to get click. If you write "Check out my website to learn how to make money online at http://..." will simply not work.

Hope this helps to get you going Jimmy. Very Happy

Why not you include a number in front of your article. For example, 5 Simple Ways or 7 Simple Ways and so on.

I bet if you done that it will make your title more eye grabbing. Very Happy

Try making article like a new web page. Make unique content and target it. This way it is not duplicate and can get more traffic from other terms. Then when you link to site you have different articles and terms you get traffic from.

Article marketing is not something that can be explained in a single post, but I can give you some pointers...

1. Where are you submitting to? Most article directories are a waste of time, there's only a few that will send you any traffic. Ezinearticles.com is the best by far.

2. Are you targeting the right keywords? Use Wordtracker or a similar tool to find keywords you can rank highly for.

3. Ranking highly is great, but you also need to write a Title people will click on.

4. You need to a good article that gently nudges the reader toward the action you want them to take.

5. You've got to write a killer author's bio at the end of each article.

6. Keep writing. 13 articles is a good start, but you've gotta do more than that to see serious traffic.

Hope that helps...good luck! Very Happy

13 articles is good, but with SubmitYourArticle.com you could quickly turn those into thousands of unique articles being submitted to hundreds of directories with very little effort.

If not them find a submission serivce or software you like and make your article marketing efforts really pay off.

Looks like start from now on, I will have to write
articles base on their quality and not quantity huh.

And Mike929, you said that submit to a few article
directories will do. Did you try out article
submitter before? I just wanted to know more about it.

Thanks

Hi ShawnLim, I think I can help you with that.

I did try several Article Submitter software before. Of course it is good in saving you a lot of time by doing research on several article directories.

However, most article submitter softwares only allow you to send ONE article to thousand of article directories which is not a good way to do in the long run. Because the best thing to do is to submit different set of articles to various article directories.

So far, only Content Composer software have the function to send 10 or more variation of articles to different directories. The downside is you have to do it manually and the software is not cheap.

Thank you so much.
You mean that it is better to submit different
articles to different directories?

The result will be less effective if submit the
same articles to a lot of directories huh?

I see now.
Thanks for your advice.
Submitting to different directories with different
articles may seem like a lot of work eh.

If I can write 10 articles each week, do you
suggest me to submit them altogether in one time
or a few in a time and submit them everyday?

Writing 10 articles per week really is a lot. Within one month, you already have 40 articles. This is indeed very good.

Submit 2 or 3 articles per day everyday is better than submit altogether as the google spiders will find it more natural for your articles to link back to your site.

You are on the right track here Shawn. Keep it up.
