Post subject: Traffic requirements?
|
|
|
Hi, everyone. I've searched for an answer to this and can't seem to find it. I hope you can help me.
I'm a newbie and have a website that is not yet getting much traffic. Do I have to have a certain amount of traffic to my website and blog before I can become an affiliate? Should I be looking for affiliate programs to join, or just concentrate right now on getting traffic?
Thanks for your help! |

You can join now. But there are a couple of things to consider.
1 - Someone networks want to know how much traffic your site is getting before they will approve you. That's ok, you can just lie (that's up to you).
2 - Your visitors might want to see no ads in the beginning, making it look like you're just giving good, general content away to the web. This is another strategy that works well.
What I'd really tell you is concentrate on the traffic. Wait to your site is doing 100 visitors a day, then try and monetize it with affiliate banners/text links, etc... _________________ 2009 Insider Secrets

For some merchants such as Clickbank it really doesn't matter, but for other merchants like Linkshare, they do want traffic... _________________ Wealthy Affiliate Review

Hi
like the others have said , yes you can join most affiliate programs whenever you like but without much traffic therr isn't a lot of point. Also some affilaite programs require to see some sales in a time frame and without them they can discontinue your links, i know commission junction does this. _________________ Currently a slave of
