I've learned the hard way that link security is one of the key factors in affiliate marketing.
What do you do to save yourself fom getting ripped?
I've tried many cloaking services and I find these systems a blessing for every affiliate marketer
like you and me, who wants to achieve success in their endeavor.
I don’t see any negative aspect associated with such a service.
What do you use (if any)?
Have a great day

If you want to do it for free you can use a php redirect assuming you have php on your server. This will somewhat hide your link.
Simply place the below code in in a text file and save it as .php extension:
| Code: |
<?php
header( 'Location: youraffiliatelink.com' ) ;
?>
|
or if you want a full cloaker for free use this.
1. visit http://tokira.net/unicode/ and put in your affiliate link to convert it to Unicode.
2. Then use the code at http://www.jamesshuggins.com/h/web1/affiliate_link_cloaker.htm to cloak your affiliate link.
Either way is completely free!
Hope it helps. _________________ Evan Gould

There are a number of ways to do it. As for free, you can do a 301,or htaccess redirect on your server.
I've been using a little script called Master Masker for years. Not only does it do the redirect, it masks the address in the browser bar and makes it look as if the activity is still on your domain / site.
I use it not just for cloaking my codes but for any number of things. It's great for use in forums where they do not allow affiliate links to be posted, as it looks like any other link to a reference site.
And it can be used for the "recommends" type link, as well.
Overall, a very versatile tool for anyone selling online.

Can anyone tell me, as simply as possible, HOW to implement "Master Masker" ? I have it on my disc as a ".zip", so first I unzip, then.......? I've read the text instructions, but I guess it's not as simple as I thought. Do I just place the program into my web-site folder at my host, or what...? I'm clueless here.
Thanks

Internet Explorer ver. 6.0+ blocks all third party cookies from being set. This means if the web page in the Frame doesn't share the same domain name as the web site showing in the browser's address bar, IE will block any cookies from being set by the page in the Frame. This is the web browser used by over 70% of all web surfers, so this technique technically results in a loss of over 70% of your commissions!
I didn't make that up. It's not common knowledge but for those of you who "think" you are doing yourself a favor with redirects, you may just be killing your commissions yourself. _________________ FREE SEO and Keyword Suggestion Tools
