What are the advantages and disadvantages of it? As a newbie, what would be my best option? Any recommendation will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

You should go for the double opt-in (Verified Opt-in). That way people will know that the user truly wanted to be in your mailing list and you are not potential spam. That will save legal issues later on. Cool

Thanks, Legend 911....

I read something that when you go for double opt-in, you might lose 50% of your leads because of taking that extra step (confirmation).

Any opinion? Thanks.
