Yes I must say that Web 2.0 is more time consuming. But it makes for better quality converting traffic. What more important to you Quantity or Quality? It's quality for me. Period. My verdict: Web 2.0 is worth the time investment!
I have witnessed perfectly rational and normal family men go nuts with Facebook. Suddenly that silent coworker reveals sides of himself that never existed (or so we thought). They embrace the community and flock to new widgets like flamingos to salt lakes. Amazing.
I suspect that Facebook is able to sell loads of virtual items and widget makers can draw their fair share of fish from the pool (oh, almost made it typo, you know what word it would have been). But it has to be fun, and it must be something that makes one look good in the community. Real world stuff is more difficult to insert into these play grounds.
Then to that real world stuff, real estate agent could possibly benefit from 2.0, but the service must be thought out with specific target application in mind. Difficult to elaborate, just having this gut feeling, maybe the foremost reason why I am not yet doing 2.0. _________________ http://www.ourdreamplan.com/
This is our dream, what's yours?
Web 2.0 ... "There is nothing new under the sun, just variations." Everyone is always looking for "the newest angle", hoping the "latest and greatest" will be the biggest money-maker. There is no substitute for the basics and fundamentals. They still work very well.
