I have a niche webpage. Up to yesterday I had 15 pages ranked among the top 10. All of them had Prīs within the 1-3 range.

I have been updating and adding pages every two weeks.

Today, all of a sudden, all of these pages have dropped out of the top, down to even below the 20 level.

I have no idea what have happened.

The only different thing I have been doing lately is exchanging links with off theme webpages, but alway with good pr.

I have also a blog with wordpress.com with outbound liks exclusively towards my web.

Any idea about what is happening?

Could this be a temporal?

SERP(search engine ranking position) of a website depends on the traffic generated for the keywords. If the traffic count drops there is every chance that your SERP'S will also falter. You upload fresh content to your page which means that your pages are cached by spiders on a regular basis. It has to be the traffic.I suggest that you conduct a daily analysis of your traffic.Check your Alexa rankings.Install a stat counter and create a Google analysis account for reviewing your traffic sources.

What an absolute load of rubbish!. Rankings have nothing to do with traffic!

Possible reasons to look at:

Google dance - google updting its datacenters that may bring about abnormalities in the SERP
Competition - your competition is simply outdoing you in terms of SEO
Decrease in the number of your backlinks
Your server was down when the bots last visited your site.
Etc...

Hi,

You better review your back-links every day and also install google analytics into your website by which you can make the analysis of the traffic source to your site. Concentrate on SEO techniques and continue doing work. Small decrease in the back-links count could badly effect your position in the SEPRs.
