Post subject: Newspaper or Internet?
|
|
|
I am interested to know which method of advertising and business building each person prefers: Internet or Newspaper?
As for my business, I like to use a a balance of both. But I have found that Internet marketing can get bit pricey to the beginner but more effective for prospecting future business builders.
Alternatively, newspaper/print ads (nationwide, local, regional, usatoday, thrifty nickel, supershoppers, etc) can help you target a certain market for products (i.e. you would not market snow skies in Austin Texas or a Vegas getaway in Nevada Newspapers), but I don't think the advertising directors of each respective paper places the ads in prominent positions for people to see. Usually, a newspaper does not have a business opportunity section thus such ads are placed under the category "misc" or "help wanted"
In addition, in my experience, it is hard to prospect via newspaper advertising because the "next big rep" usually doesn't look in the "help wanted" or "misc." section of the newspaper looking for a business opportunity.
As a result, I currently market 85% online and 15% offline via drop cards or tear tabs or simple snap shot conversations.
What are your thoughts?
Just wanted to get your opinion.
Thanks

I have not used any papers to advertise my business yet, but I will look into that in the future.
I find that if you have an Internet business, then advertising on the Internet is a good idea.
If you are launching a new website and you do advertise on the Internet for the first time, then it may be best if you try to get FREE targeted traffic to your site. It may be a slow process, depending on how you go about it, but in the long run, you will see your traffic slowly increase month after month.
Once your site is making some good money, you can then consider about investing some of earnings back into your websites advertising.
The best way to invest some of your earnings back into advertising for your site is possibly by listing it on some of the major ppc search engines, like Adsense, Kanoodle, Overture, etc. _________________ Affiliate Programs Directory - Over 2,000 Programs
