That is a huge issue for me. With all these products, most people never go past the default. As a result, the creator carries huge responibility through their choice.
Cheers,

It looks like the tide may finally be turning, even just a little:
States join spyware battle
By John Borland
Staff Writer, CNET News.com
The drive to control "spyware" and other software that hijacks personal computers without owners' permission is spreading to state legislatures, turning up pressure on PC pests...
...The bill also bars "context based" tools from triggering unrelated advertisements based on visiting Web sites on a certain topic, as happened to the contact lens company...

How about this idea:
Since Norton is blocking content stored in directories with certain names, how about storing the content of the site in a directory with an "illegal" name?
That ought to encourage people to turn off their ad blocker. _________________ Frank Nordberg

Unfortunately its getting the merchants and networks to change things over. It's their links being blocked because of what is in the url ... and they have millions of links out there. Not something they will do lightly.
Norton is the one doing something that can be found to be illegal (restriction of trade per legal opinions I've read) so they are the ones that really need to change.
