Hi,
Have been promoting Carrot Ink for a year or so on CJ and been doing well - this month they binned CJ and transferred everyone over to LinkShare.
I have no experience of LinkSHare but not wild about most of the features - reporting etc. I am particluarly worried about the payment policy. CJ had direct deposit which was great, but what are others experiences of LinkShare payment like.?
thanks |

Payment depends on the option the merchant signed up for. Do they pay you direct, or pay Linkshare after the month is over and Linkshare pays you? I have some merchants in both areas.
I am not crazy about Linkshare and don't use them for anything other than what I have to for this reason. I also don't use BeFree much for the same reason.
When CJ combines payout on all merchants into one check, and their checks are on time, it's much harder to wait an extra month or so for the merchants at Linkshare and BeFree.
Can you find a comparable merchant at CJ to replace the one you had?

this is my worry, that it will take an age - i.e Carrot delay in paying LinkShare, LinkShare delay paying me and I am months in arrears. I cannot afford to be months in arrears as it is one my of top earners.
Do not really want to change merchant along lines of "if it aint broke, don't fix it" - have made good niche with carrot, reluctant to disrupt.
Am I dreaming to think it is worth raising with Carrot? Surely many of their publishers are in same boat. |

Until you go through a month or two with them, you just won't know.
If they have always been timely in the past, then they should be now. It's really hard to say why they changed, unless they told you.
I would contact them and discuss your concerns. Maybe they can provide information to put you at ease.
