Out of a desire to just jump in and learn, I guess, I built a small e-card review site.

It gets quite a bit more traffic than my other two affiliate sites. I had (and have) no very good affiliate idea for monetizing it and the adsense ads that show up are not the expensive kind, you know?

Although I realize this is quite a dumb thing to ask at this stage, I thought I might throw this out and see if a more experienced person has any ideas for monetizing this site? It's the e-free cards one.

I've thought about it for quite some time, hoping not to ask this sort of question, but I'm really not getting anywhere.

Very nice site! Get hooked up with some affiliate programs for egreetings, standard cards, flowers and gifts. During the pre-holiday periods, make sure you focus on the upcoming holiday. Offer them easy ways to send gifts and flowers to loved ones, especially those that offer "short delivery times."

If you can find some good pricing on quality standard cards, or printable cards, you could build on that as well.

Hope this helps,
Debs

I went through your site and all I saw were public service ads. I saw no relevant ones. Might that be the reason why you're not earning much?

I saw 2 relevant ads in the 4 placement skyscraper ... not a hot advertising area maybe?

Well, that brings up something to worry over -- I never see PSAs on the site, but maybe everyone else does?

Quick-delivery gifts are an excellent idea!

Thank you!

Hi Blake,

Great looking site. I used to own an offline greeting card business that only focused on customer appreciation programs for all types of businesses. They search Free but they also click and spend.

I'm getting mostly interesting relevant ads on your site from where I am.

Consider writing more content with keyword phrases for all the different type of niche businesses.

Also, consider writing content and adding products like video email, SBI, specialty gifts like white chocolate, fudge, cookies etc. You can use lots of different keyword phrases in your content that will help you stand out from the competition when you add specialty type items instead of the regular stuff. Smile Maybe, offer something free to sign up people to a newsletter and then offer a free reminder service. I know there is another SBI site doing that. Lots of ideas... keep building. Smile

All the best
Phil

I just took a look and saw greeting card ads on your google ads. There was just "greeting card" , then Birthday Greeting Cards" then Christian greeting cards, and last "Singing Greeting Cards".
