I agree with Wendy. Look at how the magazines and such are advertising and pattern what you do after that. These advertisers pay big bucks to be in these magazines; they're not going to blow it with poorly written ads.

Offline Advertising and articles are a different thing. Sure you can learn from offline advertising, but we were talking about articles.

Offline articles just have to be so, that the readers will buy the next issue of the magazine or whatever...in magazins there are typically longer articles.

For online article marketing, short articles about 300 to 400 words are working good to get a click.
The longer the article is, the farther the reader is away from the link to click.

Yes article writing brings traffic to our site. Posting articles on different sites diverts traffic from those sites through a back link. A good article according to me should give the readers, what they want. Your title must be relevant with the article body. Clicking on author’s bio is reader’s choice. I am very much convinced with Andyz in giving the answer of this question.

My favorite articles are ones that give me some actionable ideas. In other words the content tells me something that I can use. No theories, no hype, no mystery, just give me solid information that can put put into action now.

Good point sames1, but what makes you click through for more information? Is it simply that the article gives you something you can use?
