I totally agree, writing one to two good quality articles per week and submitting it to the articles directories should give you excellent results. You should be willing to do this for at least three months (24 articles) don't give up, they will come. Remember to add your link to every article.

Although there are various things you can do to get traffic online, but instant traffic is possible on the places where your words get approval instantly and there are no such places which give you instant and long term traffic such as forums like one of the best you are already using while asking your question and the other way which works great for me providing instant traffic is "yahoo answers". These are the gold mines for newbies..
