Post subject: should i use it?

hey all,
Ive been fighting with myself as to whether i should leave adsense on my site or not. I promote a affiliate programs, and am afraid that adsense will merely take away potential customers leaving me with only pennies.
any suggestions or ideas? _________________ Home based business opportunities |

It seems like a logical assumption but doesn't always work like that. Whatever anyone here says, you're just going to have to try and see...
So many factors to consider. It all comes down to how relatively attractive the clickable options on your page are, how well the program converts, how much it pays, how much you earn per click from Adsense...
Be wary of generalisations.
One thing you might like to consider trying if you think the affiliate program is the better payer, but want to try and catch some people who are not interested...
Place the Adsense in a "bad spot". Not top left, for example. If (big if) your assumption about the affiliate program is right, people will be looking for something else to click (assuming they are still on the page).
But you'll never know unless you try for yourself with your particular page. Think about where you put the Adsense, as opposed to whether you include it.
Hope this helps,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

I actually thought the same thing. However I went for it.
I do not think the adsense is affecting my trust factor at all, and in fact it's bringing me additional income! Not a lot mind you, but some is better than none!
The key is to make sure you place it in a place where it's not SCREAMING CLICK ME CLICK ME. While this might bring more money, it might also depreciate trust.
My two cents. _________________ http://www.SuperSuccessfulSecrets.com

I know many affiliates want 'exits'
only to the merchant page of the
product or service they promote. And
it is said that they have more sales
that way.
In a way they might be right. But
like said in above posts, that's
something you have to test. Another
thing to splittest to increase your
earnings. a page with and a page
without Adsense ads.
If I set up a review style(multiple
product comparison) page I wouldn't
bother using Adsense.
I want the visitor to focus on the
'solutions' I offer him(her.
