Hi everybody.
I have recently built a new website (my first attempt at affiliate marketing) and I must say it isn't looking as good as it could.
I would like a header for the top of the page. I was wondering whether there is someone that can help me with that?

Hi!
There are a few possibilities.
1. Learn to use something like Photoshop or GIMP (free alternative) and create a header yourself (you could maybe use free graphics for that, but you have to know if that's allowed, they have different rights)
2. Pay someone to create a header for you (cost probably $50)
3. Buy Private Label Rights Headers that fit to your site, or maybe find some for free (can take some time to find, and don't know if it fits to your site). Would be cheaper or free.

I'm a grad from the Art Institute of Phil, and owned a Web Design business for seven years. I can help! I can also tell you there are some free "Royalty free" photography sources out there to get photos, and some editing software that's easy to use yourself. I can make you up a quick "Banner like" royalty free header for the page for about $75... top quality of course. (understand, I usually charge about $400-$500 to corps for this service, but I was and still am a "little guy" and am getting much help with affiliate programs here, so I give back!)
Now... A few suggestions; I went to the site via the link. On a page like yours where there is going to be MUCH info and many individual links and items, it gets real busy looking real fast. It can become a RIOT of info, which is never good from a layout perspective. Think News car ads here. Yikes!
Here are some suggestions to make your site look professional right away that you can do yourself;
1. Boxes. I hate them [it personal! ;0) You can use tables with zero borders to align columns on the page, but take stuff out of the boxes. You'll get a cleaner, more professional look.
2. Honestly, people with the WORST designed layouts get successful, so the quality of the info on the page trumps the design aspects every DAY.
3. That being said, good design is helpful in building confidence in your prospects, so it is important.
4. Group similar types of offerings, and if you can build pages BELOW the top page, group them there, with links to each sub category from the top (index) page. This allows your site to grwo to immense size and still look clean and professional on the top page. Don't forget to link DIRECTLY back to the top page on EVRY SUB PAGE in the site.
5. The SEO secrets gurus say METATAGS ARE DEAD. Don't buy into that for one second. For the "sponsored links" it sure is. For the list of FREE (dig that) links that appears on EVERY search engine on EVERY search, that isn't so; it's a database.
