Are you proposing to move the blog itself?
I wonder if it would make sense to start a new blog on a new domain; then link to the new site from your existing blog so that your new site gets the benefit of existing search-engine page rank? It would also avoid the problem of duplicate content in your new blog.
I think that's the way I would handle it. There may be other views

Find your new host.
Install Wordpress.
Restore your files.
Test.

Wordpress is just one blog script provided by fantastico among many other blog/template scripts. There are also many types of free blog scripts outside of fantastico.

| I also installed wordpress, I got web shoting from eskhosting.com (really cool guys by the way) and I preferred not to install wordpress from fantastico. What I did: I just got wordpress installation and have asked technical support to assist me, since i am not that technical person. So there is an option if you got a good hosting and technical support willing to help you, as most of the hosts I ve been with previosly refused to make installations saying that they can only care about web hosting... |

You can use the EDIT feature to fix up any thing in a message. Saves making those correction messages.
