Post subject: Privacy Statement is Killing Your Conversions?
|
|
|
I have just read an interesting article here
It is about statements in negative form, for example:
"Because we hate spam as much as you do!"
"We hate spam as much as you do! We never sell or disclose your name or e-mail address to third parties. For more information, please see our privacy policy."
I thought always that are great statements! And I always felt good when I read it, so it gave me a better feeling about my privacy.
Now the author claims, that it has the contrary effect, because it is formulated negative, so the readers would get remembered of what they DON'T want.
Has someone actually tested that? _________________ Just COPY the system from Ewen Chia. http://www.AffiliateKickstart.com

I haven't tested it, but it makes good sense to me.
In same way, I think it's a mistake to say the negative... "Don't forget to..."
It's more powerful to say the positive, "Remember to..." _________________ Allan Gardyne
