I am about to pick a domain name,
is it a GREAT advantage if i use a popular keyword (high monthly searched) in my domain, as far as positioning for 'that' keyword is concerned?
Will that benifit me Greatly as far as getting high ranked in SE's, for the keyword in the domain (eg keyword= 'grow tomatoes') ?
(assuming that all my content pages are SE optimized per their keywords)
or could i just name my site anything i want, aslong as my pages are optimzed, then they will stil rank high ? so it doesnt matter ?
Eg site topic- Tomatoes - which i have picked 1000s of keywords for, related to it,
should i use, www.grow-tomatoes.com (GROW TOMATOES = a high term)
Or just somthing which i want www.growing-Veg-tips.com for example
a)Is it a MAJOR benifit to include the keyword in the Domain name ?
b)will it have MAJOR impact on my ranking, for the keyword 'growing tomatoes' or wouldnt it matter greatly?

The big advantage of using "grow tomatoes" in your domain name is that when people link to your site, it's very likely that they will use the phrase "grow tomatoes" as the anchor text (the clickable words in a link). This tells the search engine that your site is about "grow tomatoes". It's very important to get such links to your site (and you want you want to have a natural looking variety of such links).
So I'd say, yes, having keywords in your domain name is very important.
The opposing argument is that Amazon didn't include the phrase "online bookstore" or "book" in its domain name and Google didn't include "top search engine" in its domain name.
It's really useful to have a memorable domain name. If your main aim is branding, concentrate on choosing a name people will remember easily.
So you really have to decide which is more important in your case - getting a flying start with keywords, or aiming for branding. In rare cases, it's possible to do both. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Keyword in domain name contributes to website importance and makes the SEs think that the searcher will likely see text related to the keyword. With this, searchers are inclined to click links that have their keywords and the SEs add weight to URLs with keywords. _________________ 16 Year old kid From Australia Reveals...

Allan's reply is perfect. Another famous example is the common anchor text "click here" -- if you search for that phrase, it leads to Adobe Reader's download page.
Therefore, click-here.com is slightly better than clickhere.com when it comes to internal URLs within that site, but the main benefit is from the inbound anchor text. _________________ --
